Hi I'm David

I make short films and corporate video. I love scuba diving and mountain biking. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married and the father of five children. I work as a UNIX Systems Engineer and do my best to provide for my family. I like to spend time outdoors, especially in and around water. I love to scuba dive! In my spare time, I enjoy making short films and video documentaries. I also enjoy mountain biking. I first experienced this thrill in Augsburg Germany, where I was serving in the United States Army, in the foothills of the Swiss Alps.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe with all my heart that God has a plan for us, and that our lives have more purpose than just living. The Gospel of Jesus Christ, restored in purity through a living prophet, once again provides the direction and encouragement I need to return to live with our loving Heavenly Father. I know who I am and why I am here. Knowing the purpose of my life does not make it easy, but the fellowship of others who understand this purpose gives me strength, and helps me through the tough times. This is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving as a bishop to my local congregation. The bishop oversees the teaching and operations of the church in the geographical area called a ward. With the help of 2 counselors and other area leaders, I help each family and member to become more converted to Christ and His teachings. A bishop receives no payment for his duties. In fact, each position in our ward is voluntary. Over the years I have served as a Scoutmaster in the Boy Scouts of America, as a Sunday school teacher, and in other positions as needed by the ward. Each member is asked to serve in some way, donating their time to the purposes of the Gospel.
