Hi I'm Marlen Davis

I was born to Martin and Ellen Davis. I graduated High School in Lehi, UT. I am married to Tammy Hickman. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Vancouver, WA until 12, then moved to Spanish Fork, UT. I graduated high school in Lehi, UT, then moved back to the northwest. I am currently married with 8 children (3 are hers from previous marriage, 4 are mine from previous relationships, and we have 1 foster child). I enjoy backpacking, beaches, model cars, collecting coins and pens with company names and lighters, gaming (both board games and computer/game consoles), and computers. My enjoyment of computers drove me to get a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology. I currently use that degree in my work at Tillamook Bay Community College as IT Coordinator.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the LDS church. When I was 16, I struggled with religion and for 20 years did not practice any religion. My wife and I have recently started working on our spiritual lives and decided to come to the LDS church. I baptized my wife on June 30, 2012. WHAT AN AMAZING FEELING! We chose the LDS church because of the family values that last into eternity with our Heavenly Father and Jesus.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by praying daily, reading the scriptures daily, going to church to renew my covenants with our Lord, and sharing my testimony with people around me. I look forward to more challenges in my spiritual life and responsibilities in church life.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Marlen Davis
In the bible, Christians learn that God will answer prayers. In James 1:5-6, it says that we should ask God (prayer), in faith, nothing wavering (believing with all our heart that we will receive an answer) and that God will answer us. This is how I found Mormonism to be true. Praying, with faith, asking God to help me know. Show more Show less
