Hi I'm Steve

I rarely act my age; I like bad puns and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband and dad first, but sometimes those priorities are challenged during March. I love basketball and especially the college tournament in March. When I had my own business the first two days of the tournament were company holidays. I am also interested in US history and especially the founding of the US and the Constitution.

Why I am a Mormon

I spent the first 25 years of my life with no religion and with the mentality that I had to right wrongs that happened to me and others. I graduated from law school with the tools i needed to do that but knew that was not the right path and that I was missing something. I attended many churches which all had some good teachings and people. I never felt like I had the full package until I attended The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. After studying the church for many months I made the decision to be baptized because I knew that Jesus Christ was my savior and that He would be my advocate with Heavenly Father in making sure that true justice was applied. It also helped me to be more compassionate to others knowing that I was not perfect and that I needed forgiveness too and that I should not judge others. As a member of the church I have greater happiness, more hope, and a more positive attitude and outlook. It has helped me to look for the good in people and to be a better husband, father, and member of my community.

How I live my faith

I have the blessing of being with the 12 to 18 year old young women and young men. They have so many challenges in the world but also have so many talents and abilities that they love to use to help and serve others. Working with them helps me to be a better person and to have greater hope because I know that they can and will do great things to make this world a better place. I also have the opportunity to meet with individuals to discuss gospel topics and issues of daily life. It always amazes me what little positive things people do for others that have such a huge impact.
