Hi I'm Susan

I'm a Mom of two. I am no where near perfect and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

First and foremost I am a Mom. I have two beautiful daughters that I simple adore. Prior to joining the church I did not make very good choices, nor did the people I was involved with. My story pre- gosple is not a pretty one and I have made many many mistakes that put me in some pretty aweful situations. I am still no where near perfect but I have taken steps in my life to make it better and I have recieved blessings that are uncountable from those steps. I am most definatly a work in progress If you would like to hear my complete story I would be more then happy to share it with you!

Why I am a Mormon

When I first learned about the church I was very hesitant because I lacked a lot of knowledge about the Mormon church. I met with the missionaries and tried to challange them almost every step of the way. The knowlege that I have now did not come all at once or in giant leaps and bounds. It came little by little piece by piece. I took a few steps in faith and then recieved blessings from them. All of this continues on a daily baisis. The gosple principles have greatly changed my life and made me a better person. Being a mormon has greatly strengthened the bond I have with my family and made my life a lot easier. I still have difficult moments and I still struggle just like everyone else but those struggles are made easier when I use the tools that I have been given through scriptures, lessons and praying. These things are available for anyone to use at any time and I seriously suggest that everyone should give it a try. I know that the things that are taught in this church are true. I know these things because I have studied, pondered and prayed about them. However, I had to take the first few steps in faith. I had to pick up the Book of Mormon and read it, I had to attend church, I had to pray on my own. Once I took those steps I was able to see the good things that come from that. Give it a try you might be suprised by what you find.

How I live my faith

I am involved with the teenage girls in this church. I teach and help organize events for the girls. I do my best to be a role model and example to them. I try very hard to be a person in their lives that they can turn to whenever they need it. I also visit with other women in my community just to check in with them and do what ever I can to help them even if its just someone to talk to. I also work with the Missionaries, I go and visit people who are intersted in the church and share my experiences with them and help them learn about being Mormon. I am also a Mom like I said before so when I am not doing something with the church I am raising my children and spending time with them. I love being a Mormon, I love all of the blessings I recieve from the work I do. It is just amazing how much eaiser my life is now that I am living and breathing my faith.
