Hi I'm Kashmir.

I am serving in the Georgia Macon mission, I love music, and I am a Mormon!

About Me

I am a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and I have been called to serve in the Brazil Curitiba South mission. I am currently serving in the Georgia Macon mission waiting for my visa. I love music, and I believe it has a truly powerful effect on us. I worked at the local hospital in the Medical Records department, and I loved the environment and the wonderful people I worked with. I studied accounting for two years at the local community college. After I return from my mission in January 2015, I plan to continue my education.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was born and raised a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I don't think I was ever as truly converted to the gospel as I am now. I have had the opportunity to read the Book of Mormon cover-to-cover, and I know that it is the word of God. I have grown to recognize the Lord's hand in my life; He provides me with so many small blessings. I know how important it is to be able to recognize little things as blessings in our lives. Knowing that there are men alive on Earth today, the Lord's prophets and apostles, who receive revelation from our Heavenly Father fills me with so much joy. I love that there is a connection between Heaven and Earth due to the Priesthood authority that those men hold. I know that we can all receive our own personal revelation from Heavenly Father: we only have to ask Him and learn to recognize the Spirit's promptings. This gospel is what has shaped who I am today. I know that this gospel is true.

How I live my faith

Before my mission, I served in my ward as a ward missionary, an instructor for the Sunday meeting for women, and a pianist for that meeting as well. As a ward missionary, I went out and taught lessons with the full-time missionaries, and that definitely invoked a desire in me to serve a full-time mission myself. For the next eighteen months, I will be teaching people about the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. I try to follow Christ's example by striving to treat others with love, respect, and service. As I come to know Christ through reading the scriptures and praying, I desire to become better and be more of an example to those around me. I know that as I become more like Him, others will see my light and desire to have that same light in their lives. I feel the love of God every day in my life, and I want for others to feel His love for them.
