Hi I'm Howard

I'm an osteopathic physician specializing in musculoskeletal medicine. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My father was in the Air Force, so we moved around a bit. But I grew up mostly in Anchorage, Alaska as did my wife, Cindy. I obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science with minors in German, Psychology, and Zoology. I obtained a Master's Degree in Physical Therapy after Cindy and I were married. After working in Physical Therapy for 6 years, I decided to go to medical school. I obtained a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree. I am board certified in Family Medicne and Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment.

Why I am a Mormon

My mother joined the church when I was 3 years old, so I was raised in the church. As everyone does, however, I had to learn for myself if the church was true. I felt the need to do this as a young man. I set about to read the Book of Mormon with that very purpose in mind. As I read the book, prayed, and pondered about it, I received a witness of the Holy Spirit that it is the word of God, that Joseph Smith was an instrument in God's hands through whom Jesus Christ restored his church to the earth. I experienced no miraculous events, but the witness was sure and certain; it changed my life forever.

How I live my faith

As a young man, I served a full-time, two year mission in the Switzerland, Zurich Mission of the church. I taught in the German language. Following completion of my mission I have served in many ward positions from leadership positions in the priesthood, to teaching children, youth, and young men. For several years I served as the Scoutmaster. Currently I am the Scout Troop Committee Chairman. We have taught our children the gospel of Jesus Christ, and we try to live the gospel as individuals and as a family.
