Hi I'm Kevin

I'm a 6th generation Mormon. I grew up 25 miles south of Seattle, Washington. My family includes 5 children and 10 grand-children.

About Me

Almost 36 years ago I met and married my wife, Annette. We were blessed with 5 children and 10 grand-children. We raised our family in Puyallup, Washington located about 25 miles south of Seattle. Our family enjoyed all sorts of activities including trips to the ocean, camping, baseball, road trips, reading novels & stories, Christmas, birthdays, and of course full activity in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. My career was in the field of computer repair. I have spent many hours driving all over the northwest for my job performing service for many different businesses and customers. My service in the church included teaching many different classes for both youth and adults. I have been involved as a leader in the Boy Scouts and also worked with local church leaders as assistants and clerks. All the good things that have blessed my family has been a direct result of the teachings and guidance through the church.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a 6th generation Mormon. My great-great grandmother was the first white baby born in the Salt Lake valley after the pioneers arrived in 1847. Even though I was born & raised in this church I found out for myself as a teenager that God is real and that his son, Jesus Christ directs and guides this church. I knew then that if I wanted to be on the Lord's team, I needed to be actively involved in the Church. I know that important decisions in my life have been guided by God through inspiration from the Holy Ghost. The wonderful family I have now is a direct blessing for following those promptings and remaining active in the Church. I have no doubt that Joseph Smith was directed by Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ to establish the Church of Jesus Christ in 1830. The Book of Mormon is a true book of scripture. I also know the priesthood of God was given to Joseph Smith and passed on to others by the laying on of hands. I am grateful to have received this authority and am humbled to use it to bless my family and others. I am reminded of the love of our Savior and his compassion for all as I have opportunity to participate in priesthood blessings

How I live my faith

Currently I am a secretary for the Sunday School. I assist the other Sunday School leadership in taking care of the needs of our Sunday School organization. Our focus is to improve gospel instruction within our ward (congregation). We work to help others learn about and appreciate the life an mission of Jesus Christ. It matters not where I am or what I am doing, I am a Mormon through and through, inside and out. It's just who I am. I know that all good things in life are a direct result & blessing from the power of the atonement and resurrection of Jesus Christ. My life, my faith, my family, my joy is all built upon the atonement of Christ.
