Hi I'm Sheryl

I'm a Mormon. I'm a wife and a mother of 3 children. I work helping children who struggle to read. I love to grow flowers.

About Me

I love to spend time in the flower garden. I think flowers are the most beautiful things in this world. I love the excitement of little children. I help with the Cub Scouts and my job is working with kids. I'm the mother of 3 teenagers. Most of the time I find myself shaking my head at them and laughing in disbelief. I love my husband very much.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because Heavenly Father answers prayers. I was raised in the Church and when I was a teenager I prayed to ask if the things I had learned were true. As I prayed the thought came to me that I already knew these things were true along with a warm peaceful feeling. I've learned that peaceful feeling means the Holy Ghost is telling me what Heavenly Father wants me to know. Sometimes the thoughts I have are not what I want to hear but I always feel very peaceful about them. When I feel the peace I know it is coming from Heavenly Father and it will be O.K. I have asked Heavenly Father many times if the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is where I should be. He has always given me the peaceful feeling of "yes, this is where I will find the truth."

How I live my faith

I try to be nice to everyone. When I feel offended I remind myself that I never try to offend others and they probably didn't mean to offend me. I try to find ways to serve others especially when I am feeling down because I know serving others will cheer me up. I try to teach my children what is right and what is wrong. I try to teach them good morals and good values. Sometimes they don't seem to listen but I know that I must do my best to teach them these things. I pray to Heavenly Father asking him to help me know how to teach my children, to know when others need my help and to help me know what the best things to do with my day are. Heavenly Fathers helps me with these things. I go to church on Sunday and read the Book of Mormon and that helps me too.
