Hi I'm Carla

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in the east bay area of California. Currently i am a full time mother of two beautiful girls.

About Me

I am a full time mother of two girls, 2 1/2yrs and 10 months and have a loving husband. I spend most my time taking care of them, they keep me busy. My hobbies are working out and body sculpting. Before becoming a mother I worked in health and fitness for almost ten years and was a personal trainer. Which i loved cause i enjoy changing peoples lives.

Why I am a Mormon

It all started in the doctors office when I was pregnant with my second child and the doctor comes in and tells me my baby has gastrochisis and i should consider aborting my baby because of possible genetic problems and multiple limbs. I reached a very low point and became very depressed and my husband and i left the office bawling our eyes out. I was already 4 months pregnant. I went home and texted my friend Cydni in Utah who then told me I should get a priesthood blessing and she could get in contact with someone near me so i could receive one, I was all for it for i had prayed many months before which church i should go to because i had just moved to oakdale and i wanted my family to start going to church but there was so many, i didnt know how to choose.I knew that heavenly father had answered my prayer and i had extreme faith that this was a blessing in disguise, so i went and received a blessing and i went to a specialist the next day who then told me my baby had no multiple limbs nor genetic problems. For those who dont know what gastrochisis is, its where the abdominal wall didnt close and the intestines are on the outside. So thats all my baby had which they could fix after she was born and the usual stay in the hospital is about 3 months. To make the long story short, I was baptized a few months later when i was 6 months pregnant and my husband saw the wonderful changes in me and was baptized a month after me and our lives have been extremely blessed and we are happier than ever living the gospel in our lives everyday. Our baby was born and she recovered in half the time and only spent 6 weeks in the hospital, She is healthy and the happiest baby ever and youd never know she was born with her intestines on the outside, She is our miracle from God and she has changed our families lives and generations to come. We are so grateful for the gospel, I know this church is true and the book of mormon is true, I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!

How I live my faith

My husband and I are teachers of the gospel principle class. I learn so much preparing each week and it strengthens our relationship and faith at the same time.
