Hi I'm Daniel Atwood

Faith, Family, Ice Cream. What else could one need? Oh, yeah, potatoes. I'm from Idaho. How could I forget the potatoes?

About Me

I am currently serving in the Bulgaria Sofia mission speaking Bulgarian for two years. I have four brothers and four sisters. I enjoy playing the piano, tinkering with the guitar, and listening to music. Among other things I also enjoy reading, creative writing, acting, swimming, and learning new things. Family is important to me, as is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. If it were not for this church, and for my wonderful family, and belief in God, I would not be where I am today.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for the following reasons: Because I am a Son of God. Because even though I'm not perfect, I can be through Christ, His son. Because I know His plan for me. Because I have learned for myself that this church is His church, restored again through His servants. And these are things I know through the power of the Holy Ghost.

How I live my faith

Every day, I learn something new, whether it's from applying a principle, reading from the scriptures, or just experiencing life. I try to capture these things in a journal, and every day I communicate what has happened each day to my Father in Heaven. We have a close relationship, in which I become a much better person every day. I strive to show my great love for everyone every day, to share that happiness and peace that I feel, and in so doing, I feel greatly blessed and know that others feel so too. That's the most important thing to me, and I live it every day: How many people can I influence for good today?

Do Mormons practice polygamy?

Daniel Atwood
I would just like to add my second witness to what has already been stated officially by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I encourage those who see it to read it, because it is put better than I ever could and is 100% true. Show more Show less

Why do some call Mormonism a cult?

Daniel Atwood
I suppose it's because of a lack of understanding in most cases. This church is founded on Jesus Christ and central to its message is that families can live together in happiness forever. Do the people who say this truly understand the whole picture? If one truly gets acquainted with this church and its teachings, doubtfully would they every say these things again. Show more Show less
