Hi I'm Angela

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Southern CA and went to school at UCLA. I meet my husband swing dancing in March of 2005. We were married Sept 7, 2007 in the Newport Beach Temple. We have one son, Kainoa, who is two years old and we are about to have our first daughter due July 2012. We love traveling especially water sports such as water skiing, surfing, scuba diving, snorkeling. We also snowboard, hike and we love to swing dance.

Why I am a Mormon

When I first met my husband we went through the usual dating talk which included "what religion are you?" I remembered he said "latter day saint" and I just assumed at the time it was some christian denomination. I thought i had remembered seeing some commercial on TV for it. At UCLA I was in Mock Trial, a country wide competition in a court setting debate, and I was about to board a plane to the National Championships which were to be held in Iowa. As I waited for my plane, I was talking with my dad about this amazing guy I started dating. Through our conversation I told my dad he was Latter-Day Saint and he said "you know that's the same thing as Mormon right?" "What?!?" I said in astonishment. I started to become unraveled because I really liked this guy and now I had to dump him...."Wait" said my dad "they are really great people, I work with a bunch" With my dads advice I decided to think it through a bit more. Once in Iowa, fate would have it that we happen to be staying at a Marriott Hotel, that night I noticed in the drawer of my room, a Book Of Mormon. I decided to open it up and read the introduction. I was beside myself how normal and natural it seemed and I was suddenly very interested in this book. I'd been raised my whole life as a Lutheran Christian and this book seemed just as spiritual to me, it spoke of Jesus and all the words paralleled the Bible. When I returned home I bombarded my husband (boyfriend at the time) with questions. With each answer I had more, everything I had been searching for spiritually for years was suddenly materializing in front of me. Everything made complete sense to me and seemed to fill a void I had been missing with my other church. My, then boyfriend, said he knew someone
