Hi I'm Michelle

I'm a mother. I'm a wife. I'm a sister. I'm a friend. I'm a theatre geek. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am your average girl next door. I love cooking, crafting, reading and awards shows. I was born & raised LDS by two amazing parents in the LDS hub of Utah. I grew up in the perfect balance of learning primary songs and show tunes. I enjoyed school more for the social aspect and fell right into the performing crowd being an "orkie dork" viola, "choir nerd" alto and the queen of the "drama geeks" president. I went on to get my BA in Theater at Southern Utah University where I met many dear friends, was taught by gifted professors and had many rewarding experiences from serving as PVA Senator to selling tarts as a tart seller for the Utah Shakespeare Festival. I'm a happy wife to my prince charming who I met at SUU. He is truely my better half. He balances my crazy with his calm. We are the truely blessed parents to a brilliant toddler who has given me the amazing job of being his Mommy. Along with being a daughter, sister, wife & mother I enjoy blogging, cooking, reading and running......because I love dessert!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because I know that this is truly Christ's church. I know that Jesus Christ knows me and loves me. I know that I am a daughter of our loving Heavenly Father. Having the knowledge of who I am and why I am here gives me the comfort, strength & encouragement to be the best I can be. To be more like my elder brother Jesus Christ. I am so grateful for the relationship I have with my Savior. He knows me better than anyone. I trust Him and have felt his love, comfort and direction all through out my life. I am so grateful for his antoning sacrafice. That He loved me so much that he would suffer and die for me. I am grateful for eternal marriage and the sacred blessings my husband & I enjoy in having a temple marriage. I love that our church puts family at the center and the true importance of it. After giving birth to our still born daughter Emma it is a comfort and a peace to know that she is a part of our family and that we will see her again. I know that we are an eternal family. Being LDS doesn't make your life easy or wonderfully magical. I have trials just like everyone else, but the knowledge that I have of my Savior, my personal relationship with him and the blessings of an eternal family make me happy, joyful and confidant as I go forward with my faith.

How I live my faith

I enjoy teaching our toddler about Jesus and how much he is loved by Him. I love to listen to him pray and sing and watch his eyes light up when he identifies Jesus or a prophet in a scripture story we are reading. As a family we pray together, study scriptures together and enjoy Family Home Evening every Monday night. I am lucky to teach the 12-13 year old girls in our church about their divine potential. It is an honor to teach them and discuss the gospel with them. I am amazed at their faith and how much their testimonies grow. I've been able to organize, direct and be a participant in many musical productions and events for our church. I'm amazed how many opportunities our church gives us to serve. I've been able to particpate in many service projects on the community level to one on one. I live my faith through my actions and deeds. Trying everyday to emulate the Savior and His love that he has for every one of us.
