Hi I'm Jessica

I have a degree in Speech Language Pathology. I love working with kids. I am currently a stay at home mom. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I decided to become a Speech Language Pathologist when I was in 7th grade. I have always had a connection with children and wanted to help those less fortunate to have many of the same opportunities I did. I attended Utah State University for both my undergraduate and graduate degrees. I worked for a local school district in both Utah and then Idaho. I met my husband, Clay, on the very first day of school at Utah State at our student ward's Family Home Evening. We were married the next August. A few years later, I finished my graduate school and Clay finished his undergraduate degree we moved to Idaho for him to attend Gradutae school. I worked while Clay went to school. Once Clay completed his graduate degree, he took a job that has brought us to South Carolina. In August of 2011 our son, Hayden joined our family. He has been active from the beginning and keeps me on my toes. When I get spare time I enjoy playing sports, swimming, scrapbooking, other sorts of crafts, blogging, reading, and cooking to name a few.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to an active mother and father who taught me to love the Gospel. As I grew and developed I gained my own testimony of the truthfulness of the Gospel. I know that Heavenly Father has a plan for each of us. I know that He hears and answers prayers. I know that Jesus Christ is my brother, Savior, and friend. He performd the Atonement on my behalf. I know that Joseph Smith was the prophet called of God to restore His Gospel back on this Earth today. I know that the Book of Mormon is truly another Testament of Jesus Christ. I know that we have a living prophet of God on this Earth today. I know that families can be eternal through the blessings of the sealing power. I feel the love of my Savior as I follow the plan which he has for me.

How I live my faith

My calling in my ward is the Nursery. It is for the children that are 18 months to 3 years old. Each sunday I help them to learn primary songs, feel their Savior's love, teach them a lesson about the Gospel and provide a loving and caring environment for them to be in. I also visit a few other ladies each month to assess their needs, be their friend, and teach them more about the Gospel.
