Hi I'm Xane

I am a college student. I plan to become a doctor one day. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to sing, play the piano, and listen to music, and I know how to play the organ. I can also tune a piano if I am given enough time. I enjoy physical activities such as biking, swimming, hiking, and rock climbing. I am currently a student at Brigham Young University studying Microbiology. I hope to one day be able to go to Medical school and help people who cannot help themselves.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the knowledge that I have gained from the gospel helps me to be happy. I have grown up in the gospel, but I didn't really look into the gospel until I was 16. When I did, I found out that being a member of this church and obeying God's commandments really do help a person have a happier life. I love this gospel and I hope that everyone can receive Christ and his healing light. I'm a Mormon because I know that Jesus Christ loves me and wants me to be happy. I know that he has provided the best way for me to obtain joy is through the gospel, and as I have kept his commandments to the best of my abilities, I have gotten a taste of that joy. I'm a Mormon because I know that this is the same organization the Jesus Christ set up when he was here on the earth; it has been restored by the power of God. I'm a Mormon because I have received so many answers to questions and I know that I can have all of my questions answered by modern revelation. I love knowing that God still loves me and guides me through a modern prophet. Most of all I'm a Mormon because I want to do what I can to show my love for God. I want to follow all that he tells me to do, and I want to help others come closer to him as I do so. As I do I am so blessed.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying every day to become closer to, and more like Christ. I feel that a great way to do this is through service. I have found many ways serve in the community through the service center at BYU. Some of my favorite ways to lift others include volunteer tutoring and being a buddy to those with mental disabilities. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I serve my community as a home teacher. As a home teacher, I help my friends in the church with any home improvement projects, I give them company, and I am always on call if they need any special help.I have served by providing music at various events and I have served by teaching, leading, and serving the young men in my ward. As a missionary in Kansas, I did my best to find people who were searching for truth and taught the truths I have learned. As a representative of Jesus Christ, I testified of him to everyone I met as I tried to help others improve their lives. I also try and live the commandments God has given us, and try and learn the teachings that Jesus Christ gave while he was on the earth. I try and be a happy person, and share my happiness with other around me through smiles and small acts of kindness. I know that I am a better person because of these actions.
