Hi I'm Tim

I grew up in Small-Town, USA. I play all sports. I wanna fly planes for a living. I drive tractors. And of course.. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I grew up in a small water tower town near Denver, Colorado. I am a huge sports fan and am known to be pretty competitive. I was a basketball player and track runner at my high school but have become an avid golfer (but still terrible), snowboarder, and anything I can get my hands on. I attended Brigham Young University and plan to return after my mission. I am currently serving a 2 year mission in North Carolina to help others receive the message that I have benefited from my whole life and I LOVE IT!!!

Why I am a Mormon

The church brings me happiness. The Doctrines make sense. That's the simple answer. Being in my small town and having such high standards to live by, I always stood out among my peers as a leader. Teachers and some other people have looked up to me and I give full credit to that to the Lord and His church that I was so lucky to be born into. The basketball coach always loved when the post-game parties were at my house because there was a guarantee of no alcohol and no funny business. Blessings come not only because I stay away from those things and get to keep my full liver and be healthy, but also, I don't put up with any drama that kind of stuff causes! That is probably the best part about it! Although I get poked at for being Mormon (and probably always will) I never took anything to heart or too seriously. The Lord doesn't want us to get offended at such ridiculous things. Sometimes, well most times, almost all times actually, he wants us to suck it up and continue beings followers of him. Most members live very good, honest lives and have great families. That is enough proof for me to know that this can only help my life. I've never felt like I made a wrong choice by living what I am supposed to in the Church. Everyone should desire that.

How I live my faith

I have followed all the commandments the Lord has given me. Living in a small town where nearly everyone knows everyone, it was sometimes hard to live the commandments which include staying abstinent and free of alcohol and tobacco. I never felt left out though because I knew the Lord was with me in all my decisions and He was glad I didn't give in. Also, since the church is run by strictly volunteer service, I have served in many callings including head of many young men's groups as well as an activities committee at my congregation of 19 year olds at College. I currently am called by the Lord and a Prophet of God, Thomas S Monson, to serve as a missionary in Raleigh North Carolina and surrounding areas. I invite all to come unto Christ by helping them receive the Restored Gospel through Faith in Jesus Christ and His Atonement, repentance, baptism, receiving the Gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end.
