Hi I'm Joshua

I've lived in Virginia, Oregon, Hawaii, and the Dominican Republic. I am a husband, father of 4, and a work'o'holic. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a 34 year old, husband, father of four, brother to five, and a work'o'holic. I grew up in Virginia, moved with my parents and family to Oregon when I was 12, eventually spent two years in the Dominican Republic, headed back to Oregon for a spell, then married the woman of my dreams and swept her off to Hawaii (it was the only way she would say yes). After working my way half-way through a PhD, I dropped out to join a partnership venture and now I help others run branches of our enterprise in seven states. I work too much but I enjoy helping others get what they want and need out of life and I have found that you can achieve those things through hard work and success. However, all the financial success in the world wouldn't matter if I didn't have my family around to make my world turn. Life has been a bit of a wild ride so far and I look forward to the next 34 years.

Why I am a Mormon

I always tell people that I am a Mormon because it is a "thinking man's" church. The Lord Jesus Christ has given us modern day prophets, additional scriptures, and the Holy Ghost to help guide us through the crazy world of religion. There are soo many pastors, ministers, and rock bands that try to get people pumped up to follow them, whereas we are told to listen, read, and then to PRAY. Members of the LDS church are encouraged to find out the truthfulness of everything we come across. I am also a Mormon because we aren't just "Sunday Warriors". I live my religion, the teachings of the Lord, each day of the week. I strive to be an instrument for the Lord every moment of every day, not just on Sunday morning for an hour or two. Being a Mormon to me means being a true Christian, heart, mind, and soul. I know the Lord created this world, lived, died, and lives again. That's why I'll be a Mormon till the day the Lord calls me home.

How I live my faith

I work regularly with the local missionaries of the church. We work together in helping to share the gospel with those who want to learn more about Jesus Christ and his teachings.
