Hi I'm Ralph Baer

I was born in Germany. I moved to the U.S. when I was two years old.

About Me

I am a grandfather with 18 grandchildren. My wife and I have been married for 46 years. Our vacations have become family visits because the kids live so far away. We moved to Goodyear, Arizona on October 25th 2014 and have loved every minute of it.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a home where my father was very anti religion. My mother did not want to rock the boat so she did not go against any of my father's wishes concerning religion. I learned many anti Mormon doctrines from my father. So coming from this background it is interesting that I have become a member of the LDS Church (the Mormons) with a testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ. As I grew older I studied various religious faiths for myself. I found much good in many faiths. I have also found religious people of all faiths to be devoted to their beliefs and have a strong desire to do what is right in the sight of God. So how did I settle on being a Mormon? I will cut right to the heart of the matter. Either the Book of Mormon is a correct book or the Mormon Church is a lie. I have studied the Book of Mormon from both points of view. The detractors bring up some interesting issues. But that is all they are. By prayerfully reading, pondering, and studying this work I have received a witness for myself that it is the word of God. Some people require proof. To you I can only say that undeniable faith is the only way back to our Father in Heaven.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving in my stake as a seminary teacher. Is it a challenging assignment. That's okay, life should be a challenge!
