Hi I'm Alex Woolums

I'm a road cyclist, a mountain biker and am going to serve in the Brazil Goiânia mission on sept 25 2013

About Me

I 19 years old, a road cyclist, and I took on after my dad for road cycling because, I wanted to be more like him and also I wanted to ride a bike and I stuck with it. I ride Mountain bikes as well! I am an amateur digital concept artist, and was born in a Mormon family :) Studied Anatomy & Physiology + Principals of Health Science in High-school so that I could pursue a Paramedic, or (Tactical)/EMT.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a family where the gospel was raised and taught. I have chosen for myself to be a mormon with my own testimony, and experiences within the church. Jesus saved me... He helped me strengthen my testimony, and build courage within the heart. I love the simplicity of the LDS church and how it strengthens others with the Holy Ghost. A while back i made some bad decisions, the missionaries and seminary helped me feel the spirit that it shook my bosom, and helped me see what truly matters most, and why I'm here. I follow in the church with all my heart, mind, and strength. He gave his life for all of us, so i owe my life to him in service for saving all our spirits. I will serve with all my strength, till my dying breath, even when all seems to be lost. I am a fighter for what is right, thats who i am. A guardian in some cases (patriarchal blessing stuff... you know :) ) My testimony did not come within a night.. Experiences built me up, and the lord intends to build us all up so we may all be strong if we keep the commandments of God.

How I live my faith

I try to Keep the commandments with all my might. Exercise helps me to keep the commandments. I try to help others through Christ like service as often as it comes in my area. I strive to be as Christ our savior is, daily.

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

Alex Woolums
I would suggest that if we are to come to know God our Father is to first Pray to him. After all it is in Stillness that we come to know God and ourselves. It is in those moments where we pray, and and afterwords listen with our hearts, and minds. Prayer is literally a 2 way conversation between that God that gave us life and agency. I have come to know my Father in Heaven through trials, and other people. Its during this time that I humble myself, and ask for help that he sends me the comforter, and lets me have peace and strength to make it through the trial at hand. Show more Show less
