Hi I'm Chloe

I grew up in Utah. I am a performer. I love singing, acting, ballroom dance, and reading. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student studying Wildlife Conservation and have had opportunities to work with black bears. I love classical music and musicals. I love to sing, dance, and act. I have performed in several community plays and musicals. In High School I was a member of my school's ballroom team. I love love LOVE to read.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 12 years old, my brother was diagnosed with osteosarcoma. A cancer that children seldom survive that has a rigorous chemo treatment. My parents were, understandably, always at the hospital with my brother which left me and my other siblings to battle the emotional upheaval and change in our lives on our own. For me, I comforted myself through reading. Everyday I would go to school, come home, do my homework, do a chore, and hide out in my room with a novel until dinner and bed. My family and I have been mormons my whole life which meant that I always went to church and to the other meetings and I thought it was the true church but I had never learned for myself if it was. During this time of my brother's treatment I was depressed, lonely, and full of guilt that I somehow was a contributing factor to my families struggles. I began among my other reading, to read the book of mormon, The peace, love, and comfort it filled me with is indescribable. I got to the end and read Moroni 10: 3-5 which promises that if one will read the Book of Mormon with real intent and Pray to God with faith in His son, Jesus Christ, you will recieve a witness if the book is true or not. I made the decision to do it. To pray and ask Heavenly Father if it was true, because who could know better than God which religion is true? It was a cold December night when I decided to pray. I was alone in my room and I had the Book of Mormon in my lap as I prayed. I prayed and basically said, "Heavenly Father I want to know if the Book of Mormon is true" over and over again. What I wanted was to feel a burning inside my heart telling me it was true but it wasn't happening. I started crying and pleading more earnestly to know. "please tell me. Heavenly Father are you there? Is this true? Why aren't you answering?" I calmed myself down and in that moment, a feeling of clarity, peace, renewal, rejuvination, washed over me and I had the thought, "You already know." And I did. It's true.

How I live my faith

I am currently a Full Time Missionary for the Church. Previously I have had the opportunity to spend my summer being a camp counselor for 13 year old girls. I was given the chance to teach them about the church, about how they can walk beside Christ in their lives, how to stand strong against the judgements and temptations of the world.

Are Mormons Christians?

YES. Worship in the Church of JESUS CHRIST of latterday saints aka "Mormonism" is centered around Jesus Christ. We find hope in His atonement and recognize His Divinity as the Son of God. The Book of Mormon, another Testament of Jesus Christ, a companion to the Bible, testifies of Jesus Christ almost every other page. "And we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies, that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins." -2 Nephi 25:36 (from the Book of Mormon).
