Hi I'm Eric Whittemore

I love working out and playing sports. Im currently serving a mission in Samara, Russia. And I love it! I'm a Mormon!

About Me

Im from a family of five. My parents, an older, and a younger brother. My brothers are my best friends! I enjoy going to church and participating in church activites. I love working out and playing sports. Football is my favorite. I like to hang out with friends and have a good, fun time! I returned home from serving a mission in Samara, Russia about 10 months ago. I now attend BYU-I, where I am studying exercise physiology. After I obtain my Bachelors degree I plan to go onto Physical Therapy school to obtain my Doctorate.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church. I've always enjoyed attending church and participating in the activities. But when i was in my mid teens, I started to wonder if this church was true, if it was right for me. I eventually decided I couldn't continue to go just because its what my parents wanted, and its what I was taught growing up. I decided I would read the Book of Mormon! As I prayerfully read and studied this book it honestly changed my life so much. A stronger sense of peace and happiness came into my life.I came to a better knowledge, understanding, and belief in Jesus Christ and his teachings.

How I live my faith

Right now I live my faith by trying to fulfill my church calling and responsibilities. I also try to keep my eyes open to opportunities to serve those around me.

In whom should we have faith?

Eric Whittemore
Our faith should be centered in Jesus Christ. Only through faith in Him can we repent and be forgiven of our sins. When our faith is in Jesus Christ, that means we trust in him and rely on him for guidance and help in our lives. It does not mean we sit back and wait for miracles to happen, but that we do all we can to reach our potential, and when we fall short trust in the Savior to reach out and provide support. It is when we have faith centered in Jesus Christ that we can have true peace and happiness in our lives. Show more Show less
