Hi I'm Dorothy

I'm from Alabaster, Alabama, I'm a new convert and I'm proud to be a Mormon.

About Me

I am retired from the State of Alabama Department of Corrections. I've always enjoyed giving and serving others. I love my family and love to spend time with them. If you have a problem I'm the one to help you, especially if you are my grandchildren.

Why I am a Mormon

I was praying and asking God for direction when the missionaries first knocked on my door. I have always gone to church my whole life but I was at a place where I wasn't being spiritually fed. I was looking for more and the Lord sent the missionaries to me. The Lord is everything to me and I know that He continues to guide me daily. I met with the missionaries and started going to church with them. I began to be fed at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and continue to stay fed each and every day. After reading and praying I know the Lord led me to this church and I was baptized in Jan 2012.

How I live my faith

God needs workers and not shirkers so I do my part to work for the Lord. I pray each day that the Lord will help me be a better person and that He will bless me so that I can be a blessing to another. I read my Bible and Book of Mormon every day and go to Church each week, I even take my grandkids when they are with me. I go visit-teach other sisters in the congregation each month to help them along with their journey.
