Hi I'm Jaquelyn

I love associating with kind, happy, work-oriented people! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

People are my greatest fascination and enjoyment and I'm nourished everyday through my interactions with others. I am currently in Phase III of my life ~ my happy educational childhood is over, and the years of raising my delightful daughter have transitioned into wonderful visits with her since she has graduated from BYU and become a self-sufficient adult. I was born in the beautiful aloha State of Hawaii, mostly raised in Alaska, then my daughter was born in Alaska and raised in Hawaii and Colorado Springs, CO. I have chosen the gorgeous state of Oregon to reside for the rest of my life. I also love Israel and have lived and visited there several times, and love belonging to the House of Israel. I have carpal tunnel from many years of legal and real estate bookkeeping jobs, so am now earning my way through life working in nonelectro-magnetic fields! My favorite thing to do for the Lord is temple work and it's something I can do until I am in my 90s (40 more years). My favorite song is "You Can Make The Pathway Bright" and I sing it in my heart.

Why I am a Mormon

I choose to be a follower of Jesus Christ and have always told everyone I am a Christian who belongs to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In every situation every single day, I find I am asking for help and patience, kindness and love to give to another, so that at the end of the day I can smile in reflection and sleep in peace. Keeping the Sabbath holy is something I look forward to and I love to partake of Jesus' sacrament (bread and water) in Sacrament Meeting on Sunday. I love the people who congregate to do the same because they also have love in their hearts for our Saviour and Lord, Jesus Christ. Music is a huge part of my soul and hearing Music and the Spoken Word each Sabbath fills my heart with love ~ The Mormon Tabernacle Choir is the Lord's choir!

How I live my faith

I usually greet each day joyfully and compete with myself to get as much done as I can. I live each day with opposition and challenges, and strive to discern right from wrong, and support the good in the world. I support my community and hope and pray the Lord will bless us during the uncertain years ahead. I live my faith by loving others and supporting those who work hard doing the best they can. We all have a voice, a will, and a spirit ~ to live as the Lord directs in humility, faith and obedience. I love my Heavenly Father with all my heart and strive to obey all the teachings of Jesus Christ. He truly is my eternal Savior.

What do Mormons believe about “eternal life?”

Jaquelyn
Anyone who has lived on this planet must surely feel and acknowledge that this is not a perfect life because there is sorrow from sin here and people doing wrong things, the only logical answer is that this must be a progression of ourselves, and that progression is eternal, because why have a cutoff point? Joy is achieved from achieving!! Without achievements there can be no joy. Heavenly Father knows that intelligence must be learned by living it, and it would be unintelligent to put limits on intelligence. Show more Show less
