Hi I'm Bob Capel

I'm descended from Mormon pioneers. I'm blessed to have the Church as my employer. I'm a life-long Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband and a father of 7 children, two of whom are adopted. We have 8 grandchildren, but we don't feel old enough to have grandkids already. We love to go exploring and camping in the Central and Southern Utah deserts.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints all my life. Some of my earliest and fondest memories are of attending church-sponsored meetings and events with my family, and hearing my parents teach me about Jesus Christ and His gospel. I can't imagine trying to understand this life and the universe without the foundation of understanding God and His plan of happiness.

How I live my faith

Being a disciple of Jesus Christ carries with it the responsibility to love and serve others. But beyond the obligation, service is its own reward. I enjoy the opportunities I have to reach outside myself and my family to have a positive impact in the lives of others. The teachings of Christ and the prophets encourage me to show gratitude for all His gifts to me by sharing with others. This gives me great happiness and satisfaction in my life. I especially enjoy being a teacher in the Church. It is gratifying to me when I can share things I have learned about the gospel of Jesus Christ, and express the assurance I have received from the Holy Ghost of the truth of His teachings. The "whisperings of the Spirit" are very real, and give me comfort and confidence in God's plan for me and my family.
