Hi I'm Kerrie

I am the mother of five adult children. I work with the elderly in Home Care and Assisted Living. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

After being a full time homemaker for twenty-five years, I went back to school and finished by bachelor's degree in family studies. I was the administrator of an assisted living facility for three years following graduation, and I now work for a home care agency. I am passionate about family, and working with seniors and their families to ensure quality of life in the later years is very satisfying. I also enjoy cooking, reading, and playing the piano.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe in the Gospel of Jesus Christ as taught in the LDS Church. I know that I lived with my Father in Heaven before I came to this earth and that my life has an eternal purpose. I am here to prove my willingness to obey God's commandments and follow Christ's example in blessing the lives of other people. Jesus Christ is my elder brother and Savior. Because of His atoning sacrifice, I can return to my Father's presence. The Church teaches and I believe that family relationships can extend beyond the grave and into eternity.

How I live my faith

I currently play the organ for our worship service and teach a class in the women's organization. In the past, I have really enjoyed teaching music in the children's meeting and teaching Sunday School. I also visit an assigned group of women each month for friendship, support, and sharing our faith. Having recently relocated for my husband's work, I am enjoying getting to know my new community both inside and outside the church. Being a Mormon means that no matter where I live, I always have friends and a support network.
