Hi I'm Shyler Ann Hoy

I’m a free spirit. I Love photography. I’m a Track and Field Athlete. I coach gymnastics. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Where do I start? I want to GCC- Glendale Community College; I am studying Photography, in hopes to have a degree soon. I have just finished competed two years for their Track and Field. I am a thrower; my events are hammer, weight, and discus. I have been lucky enough to go to both of my nationals for indoor and outdoor. Indoor I finished ranked 17th in weight and outdoor was ranked 13th in the nation for hammer and am now Asst. coaching there.I love all sports and enjoy being outdoors. I camp, hunt, ride quads and dirt bikes, hike, and anything you can think of I most likely do it. I also am a coach at Arizona Sunrays Gymnastics and Dance Center. I have never done gymnastics, but was blessed enough to learn really quick and now I coach some of our highest levels. I love working with my kids and I learn everyday from them and am glad to be someone they look up too. I like to believe I am a free spirit at heart; I always want to get out and see the world around me. Life is hard for me sometimes, but I am a strong, determined young woman and will not give up without a fight. I am also serving a mission in Illinois Chicago West, for 18 months. I am so excited to serve the Lord and share the gospel with others.

Why I am a Mormon

I was lucky enough to grow up in the church, so it has always been a part of me. Over the past several years it has been a struggle for me at times. My family is no longer active and I am the only active member. I have had my ups and downs and thankfully I have a wonderful ward family that has pushed up to build my own testimony of the gospel. I can tell you that when I was having trouble and not sure if this was where I belonged, the spirit always testified to me the truth. I could not see my life without the beauty of the gospel. I can feel the emptiness in myself when I didn’t have the spirit. I am a Mormon because I know in my heart without a drought this is right for me.

How I live my faith

I follow the commandments the Lord has given. I know that at times it is hard, but I know that as long as I try and repent for anything I have done wrong that the Lord will bless me and keep me strong. I also make sure I am temple worthy and I am doing everything I can to be ready to serve a mission. I want to be the best example I can for those around me. I also hope that one day it will be enough to being my family back to the gospel. I love doing servce for those in need, even if it is a little thing as smiling or saying hi to someone who is having a bad day. I try to always let my light shine bright. The gospel is a blessing to me and I have felt the chance in my life when I live the commandments and have the spirit with me in my everyday life.
