Hi I'm Debbie

I am a convert to the Church,I was converted at age 18.I am a registered nurse.I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a registered nurse, I work in a tribal clinic.I see both American Native patients as well as non-native patients. Most of the patients I work with are poor.My daily challenge is to find a way for him or her to be able to have the medication they need, sometimes even assisting them with finding food. I love assisting other people and truly love people in general. During my off time I love spending time working in my yard and reading.I have a large family-5 kids, now all grown up and I am enjoying spending time with my grandchildren.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the Morman Church when I was eighteen and engaged.I belonged to the Methodist Church, and my future husband the Baptist Church.I was attending college, and my roommate was Mormon.I mentioned to her that I felt strongly that a married couple should have one faith-so any children would be raised without confusion. My room mate suggested I listen to the missionaries and see if the Morman Church might be the answer I was looking for.She arranged for the missionaries to come and talk to my fiance and me. We started to take lessons. The one thing I really liked was that they asked me to ask my heavenly father if the Book of Morman was true-they didn't try to force it on us.After praying and studying the scriptures and listening to the lessons, I knew in my heart that this was the true Church, as well as my fiance-we were baptized.I never knew such a feeling of total joy at my baptism.I truly wish that everyone could feel that joy and know how great Jesus Christ's love for his children is. I have a testamony that Jesus Christ lives, that he loves each and every one of his children, that he is a forgiving father-every one has sinned at some time, with the exception of Jesus Christ and God his father.I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true Church and is lead today by a prophet of God.

How I live my faith

I attend Chruch every Sunday, unless I am ill-which really doesn't happen very often,I find this strengthens my faith. After a long week of work, I am rejuvinated by attending Church.I am also a visiting teacher-this means I go out to visit some of the lady members and their children at least once a month, and assist them with any needs they may have.I also teach in Sunday School the women of our Church one Sunday a month.I find this rewarding as I learn even more than I teach.
