Hi I'm Jenelle

I'm British. I'm a storm-cloud. I love walking my dog and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I fill up my time with many a hobby...music conquers a majority of it; I sing and play the piano - sometimes professionally, sometimes just because it makes folk smile. I love to write and draw and, most of all, I love how all of the things I do can be used to their best effect in my work! I work in a primary school near my home and, boy, I love those children! And the staff! I guess...I just love teaching! Oh, and I really love Christmas. All year round.

Why I am a Mormon

Well...I was raised a member of the church. Someone told me that God loved me and Christ died for me and I believed it throughout the whole of my childhood and even though that much was in my heart, I didn't really understand how it could tangibly apply to life. However, I also knew that it was through faithfully acting upon the principles taught that we could come to a surer knowledge of truth...prayer, scripture, study, church attendance...serving an18 month mission! Throughout the course of my mission I have come to realise the magnitude of the Saviour's love for all of mankind; His willingness to submit to His Father in Heaven and suffer not only the sins of the world, but every grief, sorrow and pain; every bad day, every lonely, miserable moment...and all so that in the day of our need we would have someone who knew perfectly how we felt and knew perfectly how to lift us from it. Our Father in Heaven loved us so much that He gave us His son, Jesus Christ and He loved us so much that He restored the true church of Jesus Christ to the earth through a living prophet - Joseph Smith - in order for the children of God to have all that is necessary for us to return to the presence of our Heavenly Father who loves us. Being a Mormon may not SEEM like the easier option, but it is the happier one - it requires endurance, but we endure knowing that we don't do it alone.

How I live my faith

I feel like my life long calling in my home congregation will be the pianist...at least I have been as often as I was there, since I was 11yrs old, right up until going on my mission and then they had me play the organ for a while! I've taught Sunday School classes to all ages...my favourite class...3 year olds! The grown-ups aren't half bad either! As for how else I live my faith...see above? :)
