Hi I'm Donna

I am from small town, USA. A place where everybody knows who you are. I love the simple life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Mom of six and a Grandma of nine. I have lived in this small community my whole life. I am on the School Board of Directors and like to be active in the community. I have had a day care in my home for thirty three years. I love to walk, cook, bake, bargin shop, travel, watch romantic comedies, go to Broadway Musicals and anything Disney. Our families favorite destination is Walt Disney World.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised a Mormon. I didn't really gain my own testimony until I was in my twenties. Until then, I just loved how close the gospel brought our family and that was good enough for me. I now have a family of my own that I hope feels the same way and that my children can see why they are who they are. It is because they have been raised in this the true church which has a foundation built upon Jesus Christ, Himself. This gospel enforces the importance of families. I love that. I know because of my belief in this gospel of Jesus Christ that I have been able to endure many trials and challenges. I am so thankful that there is a prophet that leads and guides us today. I know by following his wise direction that I have avoided much heartache and tribulation. I worry for my grandchildren who are growing up in this world full of hatred and deception. But as our Prophet Gordon B. Hinckley once said, "Be joyful, we know that out come." We know that if we live faithful, we will live with our Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ again. What a wonderful, peaceful, and uplifting thing to look forward to.

How I live my faith

I have taught an early morning scripture study in my home every morning, during the school year, for the last twelve years. It has been amazing to start our day off with scripture study and prayer. We memorize scriptures and learn about the prophets and the trials, heartache and and triumphs they endured. it was exciting helping Joseph, Daniel, David, Noah, Peter, James and John and even the Savior become more real in these youth's lives. The students are from 14 to 18 years old. I am also in our womens group at church and teach once a month. Our family goes to chuch every Sunday. Every Sunday. I love church and the Spirit I feel there. I love to worship my Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. I love to sing praises unto Him. I have a personal relationship with my father in heaven that I treasure. I turn to him for comfort, advice and help. And I know he hears and answers my prayers. This gives me great comfort.
