Hi I'm Jeff

I live in Utah with my wife and three kids. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a father of three young kids. My favorite pass-time is spending time with my family. Together we like to play outside, read books, watch movies, and work on projects around the house. I enjoy reading, and prefer historical non-fiction, science fiction, and fantasy books. I also enjoy reading about science and technology. My other main hobby is wood-working. In the past, I've been limited by the tools I have available, but my collection is slowly growing. I mostly do small projects for my home, things like cabinets and furniture. I've worked in software development my entire career and love it. I love technology. What spending money I have left over after buying tools, usually gets spent on a new gadget.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a mormon because I believe we exist to be happy, and to learn to love and serve those around us, and I believe that God has a plan that will allow us to be with those we love forever. I believe that God's son, Jesus Christ, suffered and died for us in order to make this possible. I believe that through him, we can overcome our weaknesses. My experiences have taught me that through Christ, we can find happiness in this life, regardless of our physical circumstances.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being the best husband and father I can. I try to know what is happening in the lives of each of my kids, so that I can teach them the lessons they need to be successful. I try to do this by spending time with them and having meaningful conversations every day. Most importantly, I try to make sure that our home is always a place of joy, peace and safety. A place where my family can face their problems without fear of emotional or physical harm. I also take every opportunity to participate in service projects in my community and local congregation. I spend time visiting families in the neighborhood to get to know them and find out what I can do to help them.
