Hi I'm Suzi

I am a wife, a mom, a teacher and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife, a mom to three grown children and five step-children, and an elementary school teacher. I love to read good books and to learn new things. I have a Master's Degree in Teaching and Learning. I spend a lot of my time doing fun things with my family. We live in a large city with tons of exciting opportunities for learning. I especially enjoy creating scrapbooks, photo books, and other memory items after we have done so many fun things. I love to sew and do other crafts too. I have recently taken up running as a hobby. I am not a good runner. I am slow and cannot go as far as I would like. I get a little bit better each week and I know I am doing something that is good for my body.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been raised as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I have a strong knowledge of the truthfulness of this gospel. I know that Jesus Christ lives and that he loves me. I am certain that both He and my Father in Heaven know me personally. Living the gospel of Jesus Christ helps me to be happy. I have learned that as I bring my life closer to the example of my Savior, I feel more joy and peace. This knowledge is the reason that I choose to be a member of this church. Being a Mormon helps me to know myself better. It helps me to understand my purpose in life and it guides the choices that I make each day. Ultimately, it makes me happy in this life and gives me hope in the afterlife.

How I live my faith

I am a teacher by trade and I enjoy teaching about the gospel of Jesus Christ. I have been blessed for the past six years to be able to teach high school students about the gospel through an early morning study group. I have met with these fabulous teenagers at 6 am each school day to discuss gospel principles as we study the word of God. It is a very challenging assignment that requires a considerable time commitment, but I have loved every bit of it. (well, to be honest, I could love it more if it was not at 6 am....that early morning part can wear on a girl). I love helping young people to sort through the barrage of information that they see and hear each day to help them understand the divine gift that this life is. I love starting my day with the association of their sweet spirits and the love that we share for Jesus Christ. It has been a tremendous blessing in my life.
