Hi I'm William Kerr

I'm a former Navy Pilot, a Retired FBI Special Agent, a Husband of 1, a Father of 5, a Grandfather of 18, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a convert to the Church I am a husband and a grandfather of 18 I am a former U.S. Navy Pilot and a retired Special Agent of the F.B.I. I love photography and sports and spending time with my family I am a child of God

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised Catholic, but became discourage with organized religion in my early 20's. I believed in Christ, and felt that if there was a heaven I could get there just as well on my own as I could with organized religion. Then I had a flight instructor in the Navy ask me three questions. 1) Did I know where I came from? 2) Do I know why I am here? & 3) Do I know where I am going.? He told me he could answer those questions, and then he said, "If I were to tell you that there is a prophet of God alive on the earth today would you be interested in learning more?" I didn't know a lot about the scriptures, but I knew I could tell right from wrong so I said I would be interested. My wife and I investigated the church for over 5 months before the Spirit witnessed to us in a powerful way that the Book of Mormon was true and the gospel has been restored to the earth through the prophet Joseph Smith. The restored gospel and the people of the Church of Jesus Christ of Lattter-day Saints have made an enormous difference in my life. They have made my life and my family stronger and more successful than we ever could have been without it. Much of what I have accomplished in life I owe to the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the principles taught in our church. The scriptures have come alive to me. They are a powerful influence and bring me closer to the Lord than anything. I am grateful for a modern day prophet and apostles and general authorities of the church who lead us by revelation. I am grateful for personal revelation and the influence of the Spirit in our lives. I am grateful for our knowledge of the Lord's "Plan of Salvation," knowing that in a world full of danger and turmoil the Lord has a plan for us -- and we can still find hope and peace and love.

How I live my faith

I serve as Ward Mission Leader in my Ward I volunteer at the Bishops' Storehouse delivering food to those in need I am assigned to help out several widows in our ward -- to lookout for their welfare and help meet their needs. The gospel provides me with many opportunities to give my time and talents in service to others.
