Hi I'm Sarah Jagger

I'm a Californian who loves the sun, theater, traveling, motorcycles, the outdoors, and adventures. Most importantly I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a 28 year old girl from the Bay Area. I currently work in an office as an Admin Assistant. I love theatre and medicine. It has been a constant battle in my head for both fields most of my life. I hold an MA in European Theatre, and an EMT-Basic certificate and yet I can't seem to find employment in either of my loved focus areas. I'm still unsure about what I want to be when I grow up. =) I also love motorcycles, and all things pertaining to England, Ireland, and SCOTLAND!!! I pray for adventures and try to live each day to the fullest! I'm currently working on two of my goals: 1. Skydiving, and 2. Taking a hand gun safety course. I love learning, and getting out of my comfort zone... when it suits me. =)

Why I am a Mormon

It will take a little explaining to tell you why I chose to be baptized into "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints." I remember when I was 8 years old I started to have those eternal questions: 'Why am I here on earth?' 'Where do I go when I die?' and 'Is there a God? Does He know me?' With those questions in my heart, mind, and soul I decided to go and find out. So each Sunday after that I decided to try church. I had friends of many differing beliefs and they let me attend their Sunday services with them. After about six months of this I started to feel like I would just have to read my bible and gain knowledge of God and His teachings just from that. None of those churches felt like home to me, so I started to lose steam on my search. Then a new family moved into my apartment complex. This new family had recently converted to the LDS church and their twin sons became my best friends. They invited me to attend church with them.... and I went! From the moment I walked into the Oak Grove Chapel in Concord I knew I was home. I felt the Spirit so strongly at that moment that I knew I would do anything to feel that comfort with me at all times. That Sunday I met the missionaries and asked what I could do to be baptized. The rest is history. My wonderful understanding parents let me be taught and let me join the 'Mormon' faith. My choice to be baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was the best decision I have ever made, and every blessing in my life since them has stemmed from that decision made in 1993.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through reading my scriptures daily, saying my prayers, by serving those around me, and by living out those beliefs that I hold so dear! Currently I am apart of a committe that provides pot luck meals the first Sunday of every month. It is an excuse to get together, eat, and chat. I find people are happiest when they are eating and enjoying one anothers company! I am also in the process of learning how to be a volunteer at the Oakland Temple. I am so excited to serve and be in the house of the Lord!

What blessings can you receive from reading the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and other scriptures?

Sarah Jagger
When reading any of the Holy Scriptures you can hear the voice of the Lord, and His counsel for your life. Someone once told me that when you want to talk to God you pray, and when you want God to talk to you, you read the scriptures. I know that to be true and it is one of the greatest reason why I try and read the scriptures everday. Show more Show less
