Hi I'm Emily

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in Idaho. I gathered 25 boxes of school supplies to send to elementary schools in need.

About Me

I'm Emily and I'm a Mormon. :) I love chocolate... I like to dance, draw, paint, sing, sign songs in ASL, write stories, and practice archery. I REALLY love to run, so I do Cross Country and Track. I like to have fun, I mean who doesn't, and meet new people. I like finding shy people and letting them show their colors. I love making impacts on people, helping them let their light shine, and I like seeing someone smile as you sit by them if they are alone. Pretty much I love to see everyone smile.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the church and I have chosen to keep following in this gospel because when I pray I know I'm not just praying to an empty space, I'm praying to my father in heaven. And when I read my Book of Mormon I know it's not just a history book, but it's our instructions on how to live our life. And when I go to church every Sunday I know that the lessons we are taught are not just to fill up time, but they are meant to stregthen our testimonies in the church and help us in our lives so we can make the right choices. I am a Mormon because I WANT to be, not because I was born in it or because I have to, but because I BELIEVE in this fath, this gospel and this life.

How I live my faith

Since I am a youth, I try to teach the gospel to my friends so I don't keep the gospel happiness away from them. I want to share the joy and love that the gospel gives us. I try to be positive and love everyone and help new people feel right at home with some friends. I read my Book of Mormon everyday and ponder their teachings as I pray to my Heavenly Father. I am preparing to be a mother for when I get married and have children. I live for truth and righteousness. I CTR by Choosing The Right, and having Courage To Rise.

Who are the Mormons?

We are deciples of Chirst, we follow his teachings and live high gospel standards. We attend the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and keep the 10 commandments. In the early days of the organization of our church we were pioneers with strong faith. We believe in the Book of Mormon and strive to serve as much as we can and live worthily. We are missionaries, spreading the happiness and truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ o others. Show more Show less

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

Faith is something that must be exercised. To increase our faith we must first have that belief and willingness to come and know Jesus Christ. Read the Book of Mormon daily and ponder the words that you are reading, pay attention to what the prophets are asking you to do. Pray, don't say a fast prayer but picture your Heavenly Father there listening. this will help you increase your faith in him because you'll know and feel like he is really there. If you really want to increase your faith, ask in your prayers for an opportunity to share the gospel or test your faith. Read some of the miracles Jesus preformed in the New Testiment of the Bible and think about what it would be like of you were the one being healed. Doing thses things and more will help you increase your faith and stregthen your testimony in Jesus Christ as long as you have that desire and willingness to do so Show more Show less
