Hi I'm Lauren Ellsworth

I enjoy en plein air painting. Frozen blueberries are my favorite snack. I love my husband and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an undergrad student preparing to teach art in secondary schools. I love to create paintings, music, meals, songs, smiles, and relationships. I recently married my best friend in the temple and it has proved to be one of the single best decisions of my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because I am not perfect and I need a Savior. No matter how hard I try to do things on my own, my best efforts are never enough. Through the gospel, that difference is made up by my Redeemer, Jesus Christ. With Him, I can do all things. With Him, I can be happy. With Him, I have purpose in this life. With Him, I can give love and feel love. Through the gospel, I have learned what defines my existence and who I am. This is not determined by society - who I am is determined by my divine role as a daughter of God. Just as I made the conscious choice to become and stay a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, I made the conscious choice to come to earth, knowing I would be tried and tested, knowing it would be hard, but knowing I could return to live with God again if I followed my Savior. I am thankful to know that out of all the titles God could have, He is called Father. I feel His love and I know He is there. No matter what I do or who I become, He will always love me.

How I live my faith

I am a visiting teacher in my ward. As a visiting teacher, I am called to serve two women by sharing a gospel message with them and trying to meet their needs every month. I believe that no matter what roles we are called to or what opportunities come our way, we must act well our part. I am a wife, a daughter, a sister, a niece, a cousin, an aunt, and a friend and I endeavor to act well my part by striving to follow the example of my Savior, Jesus Christ.
