Hi I'm Emilie!

I'm an army brat but have lived in California most of my life. I'll probably love you. I'm a Mormon. :)

About Me

I love being outside and am a hippy at heart. I was raised in the LDS Church. I love talking to absolutely everyone. I love to sing and I love to write. I'm with my family and friends a lot. I'm a big people person.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was raised as a Mormon, I like many others went through a questioning period in my life. Through questioning my faith in God and Jesus Christ, I was able to find answers for myself that I was living the true gospel. I love the standards of the church because they give me freedom and security. I love the way I feel when I'm practicing my beliefs. When I'm happiest, it's because I'm living the righteous values my parents taught me to live by.

How I live my faith

I love to participate in church activities such as Mutual (Youth Group) and church dances! I love going to church every Sunday. I also participate in a summer program called Especially for Youth.

What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Emilie!
The Bible is Holy Scripture and word of God. We use the King James version of the Bible. However, we also believe that the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ. Throughout history, the Bible has been changed and altered, making it difficult to know the truth of some of the scriptures. The Book of Mormon was translated once. We believe that Ezekiel 37 speaks of the Book of Mormon and Bible becoming the "Stick of Judah". Show more Show less
