Hi I'm Kristine Hain

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Currently I am serving a full-time mission in the Indianapolis Indiana mission.

Why I am a Mormon

The church came into my life sudden and head on. It was something that I could have never saw coming. I came to West Virginia University from Hawaii completely blindly. Blindly meaning that I closed my eyes on a list of colleges and picked. Despite the 12 other schools I could have attended I felt the urge to go WVU, and so I did. Little did I know that soon enough I would meet Hayden. We were making small talk one morning when I noticed that he had a BofM on the table with him, and I asked him if he was a Mormon. He was not a member quite yet, he was getting baptized that Saturday. We ate breakfast that morning and he invited me to his baptism, and church that Sunday. After church on Sunday I had a meeting with missionaries, and we watched The Restoration. I was angry because at the end of the video the answer to the infamous question "which church is true" was that none of them were true. What was their point of making me watch this video if there was no true church? Of course they later explained to me all of the restoration, the plan of salvation, and so on. Slowly but surely I started to see gaps, and have questions that I never realized I had before. However, every single question, and every single gap was filled/answered because I had something I never had before. The FULLNESS of the Gospel. A month later from my friend's baptism I was baptized, by my friend. For me it just made sense... I was divinely led to WVU. It made sense to me why the other schools just wouldn't work out. It made sense that HF wouldn't just leave us here on this Earth and say, "Here's the bible, good luck trying to figure things out on your own," or that Christ's Church wouldn't be ran the same way as it was in the olden days. It just made sense to me.

How I live my faith

I'm still new to the Church so the biggest things I do are try to read my scriptures, and pray to my HF daily. I don't know everything, or even a lot, but the best thing I can do is stand for and be example for the things I do know to be true. I do know that I have never had so much joy and happiness now, than I have in my entire life. I love this church, and the meaning that it brings to my life daily.
