Hi I'm Tynan Jesse Hamilton

I am a college student, a son, an outdoors lover, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am 21 years old from Provo, UT and the youngest of 4 children. I have lived in Utah my whole life but love to travel and have had many opportunities to do so around the world. I recently returned home from Viña del Mar Chile where I served as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I loved getting to know the people and places in Chile as I shared about Jesus Christ with those where I was serving. I am studying at Brigham Young University. I love doing things outside like running, swimming, biking, hiking and enjoying nature. I really love spending time with my family. That is the most important for me. I am lucky to live close to my extended family and most of my immediate family and we do many things together.

Why I am a Mormon

At birth I was born into a Mormon family who raised me on the values and teachings of the Mormon church. But that's not why I am a Mormon. I am a Mormon becease of the experiences I have had with my Father in Heaven. Through hard times and easy times he and his son Jesus Christ were there for me even when I felt I didn't deserve their spirit. I know that there is a living prophet on this earth today, Thomas S Monson, who loves us and guides us. The book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ and was translated by Joseph Smith by the power of god. I know that my Heavenly Father hears and answers my prayers. There are countless times when I know I can turn to him in prayer and ask for guidance and help and he will give me it in his own time and way. This gospel means more to me than anything else on this earth. I know that Jesus Christ died for all of us on the cross and three days later stood again. I know that repentance is possible and that no matter what you've done you can be forgiven through the power of the attonement. I love the temple and know it to the the house of god and can't wait for the day when I can enter fully into his house. I know that even when I may feel completely alone I am never alone. All I need to do is Pray. I know I can always have Christ with me. I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormon) is the true church. I love this church. I know that my savior lives and I love him more than words can discribe.

How I live my faith

Something I have found in my life is how important consistency is. If I don't read my scriptures and pray daily or go to the temple as often as a can, I find my life harder and I lose the constant guidance and comfort of the spirit. I try to get around people who have my same values or respect my values and are good influences to me. I know I'm not perfect and that sounds great to me because I know I can grow and can always have the spirit of the Lord with me if I am doing whats right. If I were perfect I wouldn't need that.
