Hi I'm Taylor

I enjoy the snow. I run and study on purpose. I Grew up in Utah and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I`m currently living in Okinawa, Japan and loving everyday of life! I wish there was more time in a day! I enjoy simple things, like reading, eating, and talking. I have always loved being outside. In the summer we would go camping, fishing, hiking and 4-wheeling quite a bit, and sleep on the lawn when we were at home. It was great! My favorite sport is basketball. We had a hoop in the backyard, and were always playing. Running seemed to be a big part of my life. Never got that good at it, but ran quite a bit for the school track&field and cross country teams. Its getting to be quite a list, but I gotta talk about debate. Joining the debate team taught me to want to learn. That really helped me enjoy school more. I went to college for a semester and debated there too.

Why I am a Mormon

Well, my ancestors have all been mormon. I have wonderful parents who raised me in the Chruch, and because of that I originally joined. I am STILL a Mormon and always will be because of the joy and peace that I have gained through striving to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ. It has changed my life! "The purpose of the gospel is to make bad men good and good men better" is one of my favorite quotes. I have never been so happy as when I followed what I have learned in this chruch, and I have never been as unhappy as when I have not. Jesus Christ suffered for my mistakes, so that I have the chance to change. What a great way to live! You can never use your last chance. You can never fall so far that Christ can`t pick you up. When we believe, are willing, and act on what we believe God always blesses us! If I wasn`t a mormon I don`t know what I`d do. There is such a confidence that comes into your life when you know you are doing what is right. My `conversion` didn`t take place in one prayer or one experence, but in the slow but rewarding accumulation of many. Some things come and go, but the my Heavenly Father has always been there for me.

How I live my faith

I`m serving as a missionary in the Japan, Fukuoka mission. As missionaries we have the chance to volunteer everyday for 2 years to share what we know is true. We do all we can to teach people about Jesus Christ. Sometimes its hard because we need to learn Japanese and try to figure out how to understand their culture, and way of thinking, but its been such a great experience! I enjoy a struggle! I need to be busy. Anything that I can do to help others lives improve is gonna be worth it. Live is great. What I know about the teachings of Jesus Christ has helped me to know what I ought to do in life, and when I have lived it it made me happy. I hope that I can help others be to learn what I know is true. That is I know there is a God, and he LOVES us.
