Hi I'm Daniel Johnson

I sing opera. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a full-time DMA student studying Voice Performance at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. When I graduate, I plan to become a professor of voice. My wife and I have one active toddler son. Keeping up with him takes up most of our free time!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church, but, just like everybody must, I had to receive my own conversion to Jesus Christ's gospel. This process began for me when I enrolled in seminary courses offered by the church at my high school. As I immersed myself in the scriptures and remained active in the church's youth program, I began consistently to feel Christ's love in my life and understood the principles of His Atonement and love better. Then, as I taught these truths of the restored gospel to everyone I met while serving my two-year mission to Atlanta, Georgia, my understanding and conviction of God's eternal Plan for His children became sure. I know the Savior lives, and I know our Father has created a Plan for our return to His kingdom. I know that that Plan includes the opportunity, through the ordinances of the temple, for our families to return with us to His presence.

How I live my faith

I am the Sunday School president in my college ward. I visit three families monthly to check on their welfare in the church's "home teaching" program.
