Hi I'm Spencer Taft McMillan

I grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada. I am preparing for a mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Share things that can help others relate to who you are and what you do. What are your hobbies and interests? Are you a mom/dad? Are you going to college? Share what you've done that other people might identify with. It doesn't need to be too long. Avoid sharing personal information such as your last name, your family members' names, your school, your city, or any other contact information of either you or someone else.

Why I am a Mormon

This section is meant to help visitors understand why you've chosen to be a member of His church. You can talk about your conversion story or perhaps why you continue to follow His gospel. Share your testimony and what it means to you. Past transgressions given in detail should be avoided.

How I live my faith

Tell others how you participate in your community or your ward/branch. It's appropriate to talk about your callings or hometeaching and visiting teaching. Do you teach the youth? Do you organize events for your church? Try to avoid phrases like "elders quorum" or "Relief Society" as these may be unfamiliar to our visitors.

What is faith?

Spencer Taft McMillan
To have faith is to “hope for things which are not seen, which are true” (see Book of Mormon, Alma 32:21 and Hebrews 11:1). Each day you act upon things you hope for, even before you see the end result. This is similar to faith. Faith in God is more than a theoretical belief in Him. To have faith in God is to trust Him, to have confidence in Him, and to be willing to act on your belief in Him. It is a principle of action and power. The Book of Mormon prophet Alma compared faith to a seed. If you plant a seed and nourish it, if it is a good seed it will grow and eventually bear fruit (Alma 32:28-43). It is the same with faith. If you are obedient to God’s commandments, study His word, and have a desire to believe in Christ, faith will grow inside of you. Show more Show less
