Hi I'm Mallory

I grew up in Texas. I am a ballet dancer. I am a missionary for the church and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a dance major at Brigham Young University, and I am currently serving a full time mission with the Church in Taiwan! I have been dancing ever since I was little and hope to be a choreographer one day. I have grown up in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and love it so much; the church has always been there for me and brings so much peace and joy into my life! I also love reading, music, hiking, and fencing. I am so excited to serve the people of Taiwan and share the gospel!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I truly believe in the doctrine of the church. I have read the Book of Mormon, and I can't believe a book like that could be false. I love my church; it's like my second home. There is a wonderful sense of community within the Church that never fails to make me feel loved and appreciated. I believe that Jesus Christ is my Savior, and that he suffered in Gethsemane and died on the cross so that I could be forgiven of my sins. I KNOW that there is a God, like I know the sky is blue. He has answered my prayers and I have felt his presence around me. I have chosen to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because I believe in it with all my heart.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by living my standards. Whether I'm at school, church, or out with friends, I don't compromise my moral standards for any situation. I am so grateful to know amazing friends that understand and respect my decisions. I also try to engage myself in service and helping others. I've found that when I spend my energy helping someone else, I'm happier from it as well as the person I served! It doesn't have to be a huge service project; making sure that I've done something each day to brighten someone's day makes me feel accomplished and strengthens my love for others, as well as my faith in Jesus Christ.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Mormon missionaries come to your home to share a message of the Gospel with you. They wish to teach you about Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father's Plan of Happiness, which allows all of us to return to God and see our loved ones again even after death. It's a beautiful message of hope and love that we want everyone to have the opportunity to hear about. Show more Show less

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Not at all! Much of the humanitarian aid that the Church provides goes to aid those are not Mormon in countries all over the world. Missionaries for the church dedicate their time to serving those who are not Mormon. We believe that we should love and serve our fellow man, no matter what their religious affiliation may be.
