Hi I'm Miriam

I'm the oldest of six children. I love math and playing the piano. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student studying mathematics and have also recently discovered a love for teaching. I also enjoy playing the piano and playing the violin in the university orchestra. In my free time I love to play games with friends, talk on the phone with my parents or any one of my five siblings, and watch movies. I'm currently getting ready to serve a mission in Idaho, and I am so excited!

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are both members, so I've been in the church all my life. I'm a member of the church because I want to do what's right, and being a member and having the gospel in my life has given me direction in my life as well as happiness and comfort even in the most discouraging times. I feel like I have a purpose and know what I want to become. I can see that God is with me through out my life and that he cares about me and what I'm going through. I believe that Jesus Christ is our Savior and my Savior and that he suffered for my sins and knows my pains. I love the gospel. Through learning and living the gospel, reading the Book of Mormon, and praying to Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus Christ, I have learned of the great love the the Lord has for me and just how well He knows me. When I remember how much He loves me, I want to strive to be obedient and follow Him and the gospel helps me do that. Following the gospel and feeling God's love for me has led to a cycle of joy in my life and desire to continually grow and improve.

How I live my faith

I've had the wonderful opportunity to participate in church meetings and to serve others through music and playing the piano. I've been able to serve as a choir accompanist and play for the young children during their singing time in their Sunday classes. It is a lot of fun and brings me a lot of joy that I can use my talent to benefit others. When I'm visiting home, I also enjoy serving at a local food pantry with my family and making crafts with a group of elderly ladies. I mostly strive to be an example to others around me and keep a smile on my face and hope I can put a smile on some one else's.
