Hi I'm Shareene K. Cline

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in California and Oregon. I love studying and writing family histories.

About Me

I enjoy hiking, writing, teaching and learning. I am a mother of three beautiful adult children. I try to learn new ways of teaching and reaching all children. I constantly take classes to better myself and to help the youth that I teach.

Why I am a Mormon

Though I have been Mormon all my life, I had to gain my own testimony. When I was growing up we did not attend church much, nor did we read scriptures or pray as a family while growing up. I went to church when I visited my mother in another state and enjoyed it. I attended Ricks College after high school where I became interested in whether my family had been duped for many generations or did the Mormon's have something. I started to talk to people, study hard in my old testament class. Then I took a new testament class and I started to learn more about how the Savior did things. As I learned more about the Savior the closer I got to Him and the Father. I started reading the Book of Mormon and several friends took the lessons from the missionaries and I would listen and learn as they taught the gospel. I felt so good inside I wanted to share what I knew. It is difficult to share a feeling, so as I read and prayed to my Heavenly Father, I would talk about the gospel to my LDS friends and talk about other religions to friends of those religions. The LDS church had not only all the answers, it also had the feeling of truth and goodness, something I did not get anywhere else. As I pray, read the scriptures and follow my leaders, I am constantly blessed by Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I have recently moved to my new ward. Though I have spent 7 years as a Family History consultant. As a consultant, I have helped organize family history fairs with the stake rep. I have taught young children to adult classes in the church. I have recently been called to be a Visiting Teacher, where I strengthen the faith of women in my ward. I study my scriptures every day and talk to my Heavenly Father several times throughout every day.
