Hi I'm TJ Peters

I love my family. My trials in life have shaped me into who I am. I'm a missionary serving in the Tampa, FL mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love sports and being outdoors. Ever since I was a little kid i've always had a desire to compete and be active. It took a lot of persistence from my father, but I am a firm believer in work! I enjoy fishing, basketball, and spending time on the mountain. I attended Arizona State University and Eastern Arizona College for 2 years, and am now serving a mission for the Mormon church in the Florida Tampa Mission. I love sharing the gospel with others. Its kinda my thing right now and I am so thankful for the opportunity to do so. Life is very fragile and I have experienced that the hard way through bad decisions and also facing medical trials. Thankfully I have been blessed with great people in my life who have helped me to understand my divine potential here on this earth, and the expectation my Heavenly Father has of me.

Why I am a Mormon

Sometimes we question why we do the things we do, act the way we act, and even why we are where we are. Life is full of uncertainties and misfortune. At times I've wondered, "why me?" "what have i done to deserve this?" I was born into the Mormon church not knowing why i was a Mormon or what the difference was compared with other religions. My parents struggled as young parents to successfully raise us kids the way they knew to be right. My father taught me how to treat others. To always do the little things that go unseen. My mom taught me hard work. She has always been there for me in hard times. It wasn't until i was 20 years old that i came to know why i am a Mormon. The restored gospel of Jesus Christ is a gospel of change. Those who seek forgiveness of their sins by and through the Atonement of Jesus christ will find it. I have felt the purest form of love from my Savior and i can never deny it. God loved us so much that he gave his only begotten to suffer all the sins of the world, so that we might return to live with Him again. God is just. He will not be mocked in any form of hipocrasy. I know, that Jesus Christ met the demands of justice through the performance of the Atonement. His blood has washed me clean and although i am not perfect he has given me the guidance of the Holg Ghost to find the way back. Continual and ongoing repentance sanctifies us, and allows the pure love of God to heal us. I have been born again, and given a second chance...that is why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I am imperfect. Each day i do something that isn't in harmony with God's teaching and because of that i need some divine help. I live my faith by striving to follow the Savior. Always trying to do as he would do in word and in deed. He doesnt expect me to be perfect in this life but He does expect me to fix my mistakes through Him. I also live my faith by serving others. I try to occupy my time with wholesome things so I can always be prepared to help someone see the virtue in following Jesus Christ. I try to repent daily because there is no other way back into the presence of God except through the Saviors atonement. I try my best to serve others, and be a helping hand always as i know the Savior was. It is a day by day learning experience for me that requires humility and a lot prayer.

What do Mormons believe about Jesus Christ? Do Mormons believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God?

TJ Peters
I want to testify of Jesus Christ, the same One we read of in King James Version of the Bible. He lives. The Savior Jesus Christ came into the world to pay the price that no man could. He is our mediator with the Father. I know that happiness in this life and eternal life in the world to come can only be found by abiding by and living the teachings of the Savior, Jesus Christ. He came into this world to save those who would follow Him. These blessings are sure unto the faithful. We choose each day whether we will follow the Messiah or not. This decision is not a one time decision rather it is a day by day, here a little and there a little decision which will help us find renewed hope and faith through the olny begotten Son of God. He loves you. He loves all of us. He did everything Heavenly Father sent Him to do and because He did, you and I both can recieve of His perfect love through learning His gospel taught to our hearts through the power of the Holy Ghost.
