Hi I'm Trey Rudd

I grew up in the heat of AZ. I love playing sports, especially golf. I am serving the people of PA and yes I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am currently serving in the best mission in the world, the Pennsylvania Pittsburgh Mission!!! I am the youngest of six. My brother and sisters are my best friends and i would be a loser without them! I don't know where any of us would be if my parents wouldn't have done such a fantastic job of raising us. Sports is a big part of my life and it is my dream to play in a PGA Tournament. I hate boring things and I do whatever I can to make things more interesting and lively. I want to learn Spanish so I can talk like Gollum from Lord of the Rings in another language. After my mission I plan on trying out for golf at Arizona State University(Go SunDevils!). I plan on going to college for computer science but i am open to any career pathway.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe that all Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, whether they have grown up in the church or joined as a teenager or adult can all be considered Converts. There comes a time when your Parent's testimony can't support you any longer and You have to find out for yourself why this Gospel is true. While growing up I went with friends to different youth camps like Especially For Youth(EFY) and i felt the spirit very strongly at these times. It took a while for me to realize that I couldn't rely on these experiences to keep my "Testimony Tank" filled. So I turned off the TV, put down the video game controller and started to read and study the Book of Mormon. As i read it, I remembered the stories that I was taught as a child, and now as a more mature teenager, I understood how they applied to me! I started going to Seminary and really listening, rather then just going to memorize scriptures to win prizes. I had planted a seed of faith that was now growing. When it came time for me to pray about the Book of Mormon to know if it was true, it was second nature. I felt peace in my heart and enlightenment in my mind. Doctrine and Covenants 8:2 had came to pass in my life. The Holy Ghost had spoken to me in my heart and mind. I know that God loves us enough to give us answers as to what our purposes in this life are.

How I live my faith

One of the ways i live my faith is by serving a mission in Pittsburgh, PA and teaching the Gospel to others so that they can feel God's love more in their life.

Why do some call Mormonism a cult?

Trey Rudd
Because "some" if not all people that call Mormonism a cult don't take the time to ask someone who is actually a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints(or Mormon Church) and living the standards. If I was going to get my tonsils taken out and I wanted to know what it was like, who would I ask? Obviously someone who has experienced it themselves. Read the Book Of Mormon and Articles of Faith(Pearl of Great Price pg. 60-61), that will lead you in the right direction. Show more Show less
