Hi I'm Kylie

I'm an athlete, pianist, pre-nursing major, and a soon-to-be missionary in Chile. And most importantly I'm a Mormon!!

About Me

I love my family more than anything in the world. I know I wouldn't be the person I am today if I didn't have the incredible examples of my parents. My siblings are some of my best friends and as the oldest I hope I am being to kind of person they look up to. I love camping, kayaking, being in nature, playing soccer, softball and practically any other sport. I am a student at Brigham Young University. I am preparing to serve a mission and share what I know to be true with the world. After my mission I hope to be a nurse.

Why I am a Mormon

Every single person needs to find out for themselves if the gospel is true and that we have a Heavenly Father who loves us and knows us individually Through my life prayer and scripture study have helped me gain a testimony about my Heavenly Father and that he is aware of me and I am never alone. I know we have a Savior that loves us more than we could ever comprehend. If we draw near unto him, He will draw near unto us and He can be the greatest comfort and friend that we have ever had. There is so much about the gospel that I am grateful for. I am a Mormon because the spirit I feel is so strong and I never want to be without that in my life. I am deeply and truly converted. My heart is changed and I am receiving His image in my countenance. I can't imagine my life without the gospel and I want to help others come unto Christ and have the light of the gospel to guide them through the darkness of this world.

How I live my faith

Service. That is what our Savior did all His mortal life. Service can be little small acts. My goal is to never be too busy to serve someone in need, and never too busy to ignore the promptings of the Holy Ghost. Preparing for a mission is teaching me to be more open to share my faith. I have shared my testimony through words and actions. How we live reflects who we are and what we believe in. I have served in church callings as a leader among my peers ages 12-18. Those girls helped me learn what true leaders and friends do. I have also served in Seminary leadership positions all throughout high school. I can't wait to receive other callings and have to opportunity to serve in college wards and beyond.

What is being a Mormon like?

Being a Mormon is like being any other person, but at the same time it is so different. Unlike some churches or individuals, it is more that just a Sunday religion. It is a lifelong commitment to come closer to our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. Prayer and studying the Book of Mormon are some of the things we do daily to help us live that commitment. We are very family oriented because families are part of Heavenly Fathers plan. We believe in the Plan of Salvation and that we can be with our families forever, if we are sealed together. Worthy males have to opportunity and responsibility of holding the priesthood, which they use to bless and serve others. Being a Mormon is serving others. The Church provides help to those in need and as members we strive to do the same. Show more Show less

What is faith?

To me faith is an action word. It is more than just believing in something. If you have faith you have desires to act on it. Faith is a desire to know. Faith really is hope and confidence in something not seen that is true. Show more Show less
