Hi I'm Zachary

I grew up in Logan, Utah. I am currently serving a mission in the New Hampshire Manchester Mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

One of my big interests is robotics. I had the opportunity to participate on a FIRST robotics team for several years during high school. I am also planning on getting a degree in mechanical engineering. I love backpacking, hiking, rock climbing, and pretty much any outdoor activities.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church, but I depended on my parents testimony while I was young. I came to a point, while preparing to serve a mission, when I realized that I didn't know for myself that the church is the true church of Jesus Christ. I realized that I couldn't serve a mission, and tell others it is true when I didn't know that myself. So I tried the promise Moroni gives in the Book of Mormon: I read it, pondered its message, and then prayed and asked God about it. I didn't get any huge answer, only a peaceful assurance that it was true.

How I live my faith

One way that I live my faith is by serving a mission. I have set apart two years of my life to serve God by bringing the message of the restored gospel to His children. I was called to the New Hampshire Manchester mission, covering most of New Hampshire, Vermont, and Maine. Life as a missionary is often very frustrating and discouraging, but I know that, for whatever reason, serving a mission is exactly what I need to be doing.
