Hi I'm Vicky

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in a small town called Overgaard, then moved 35 miles away to Taylor. I have 4 children & married 25 yrs.

About Me

I love to ride 4 wheelers for my "stress relief". I work full time, have 4 active outgoing kids who I try to support in all activities. My oldest son got married 3 years ago and I have a 23 month old BEAUTIFUL grandbaby girl. I have had many loved ones VERY close to me die and I have learned to TRUST, LOVE and have TRUE FAITH in our Patient, Kind, Loving Heavenly Father and I turn to Him daily for HELP!

Why I am a Mormon

The reality of Death is VERY close to my heart! When I was 10- my dad died while working in the woods At age 14- Grandpa's funeral When I was turning 15, I was involved in a SERIOUS car accident that killed 2 of my best friends & paralyzing another girl from the waist down. There were 8 teenagers in a vehicle thrown about. I was pronounced Dead on Arrival, but somehow came back to life. I got out of hospital on my 15th birthday At age 19, I went to my Grandma's funeral At age 20 my niece who was 2 years younger than me & we were like sisters –was killed in an auto accident. We buried her on her 18th birthday.I was asked to speak at her funeral. It was VERY hard, but I did it 1 year later a good friend from high school was killed in an accident at work That same year one of my favorite Aunts, died of breast cancer. She was my mother’s best friend and sister. In December right after Christmas in 2005 my mother died, which was SO VERY HARD! A month later I attended another funeral of my Paralyzed friend from the wreck when I was 14 3 years later my 9 month old great nephew died from a TV accidentally falling on him. My Testimony of our Loving, Heavenly Father and His True Gospel is what holds me together. The gospel helps me be STRONG and HAPPY! I am NOT perfect. I am always learning and growing, making mistakes like we all do. I love to read & listen to positive people and positive things. It seems to help me be happy on a daily basis.THIS IS WHY I AM A MORMON!

How I live my faith

I am involved in our awesome Ward. I was Relief Society Pres for about two years and had health issues and was released. When I was Pres, I got the opportunity to serve many hours a week & receive so many blessings from it. I got to go Visiting Teaching throughout the month & "cheer lead" ladies on in their times of "life struggles". When there is a funeral in or ward, sickness, surgery, moving etc. I was involved in helping & organizing help for them. It was a blessing in my life. I love people & know that EVERYONE is a child of God. No matter where they are in life today. I currently am a Sunday School teacher for the AWESOME 14 year olds! SO neat to be their teacher!! I love them to pieces!

What do Mormons believe happens to us after we die? What do Mormons believe about life after death?

Vicky
We will ALL be able to report to our Loving Heavenly Father & judged by Him according to our "Works" here. We can be families forever. We WILL SEE our friends & family that have passed on when we join them. While waiting for the judgement day we will be working on our salvation & helping others work on theirs. Show more Show less

What is faith?

Vicky
Faith is KNOWING something is true because of what your heart, your head, your inside being feels & tells you. Faith is what keeps your connection to your Heavenly Father. If you believe in Him and trust Him, He can be there for you always. It is up to YOU. I HAVE TO HAVE Faith to function in this life!! Show more Show less
