Hi I'm Brittany

I'm a Texan and spunky writer who loves life and is living the dream. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I recently got married in the San Antonio LDS Temple to the love of my life. I graduated from college studying English Professional Writing with a cluster (split minor) of Journalism and German. I took an 18 month break from my studies to serve as a full time missionary for the LDS Church in Germany Berlin from 2010 to 2012. I love to have fun, laugh and play a good game of soccer. Life is what you make it and I choose to make it worth living and that is through my beliefs. I am living the dream with family and friends helping me along the way.

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed to be raised by my parents in the LDS church and to learn of the gospel and the plan that Heavenly Father had for me. Being the fourth child I looked up to my older sibilings and also the example they set for me in the teachings of the church. One of which was so serve a mission and teach other people the gospel. All three of my older sibilings did so and I awaited my turn to do the same. When I was 15 years old my family moved to a different city. I struggled a bit and had to question my beliefs and if there really was a God. I began to really study the Book of Mormon and pray to really know of it's truthfulness. The answer though did not seem to really come. Some how I was still able to express my gratefulness and my beliefs of the LDS faith with my friends at school and work. I gave a few friends a Book of Mormon to read for themselves. That was the greatest gift I could give someone. I still continued to pray and to know for myself. When I turned 21 I left for my mission to Germany to teach the people there the teachings of the church and the restored gospel. I felt the spirit stronger then ever and everytime I testified of the truth I knew I felt a buring with in me. As I brought people closer to Christ and invited them to find out if the Book of Mormon is true I brought myself closer. I realized then that I had already receieved my answer and it did not come as a big thing but a little buring within that i knew it was true and that is why I continued to keep teaching people and sharing my beliefs with friends and strangers through out my whole life. I have always known and I will continue to learn as the Holy Ghost keeps teaching me the truth I so desire. I am a Mormon because I have recieved my own personal witness of the Holy Ghost that this is the Church of Jesus Christ restrored though a Prophet of God. We have a living Prophet today and the Book of Mormon is true, I have prayed and found out for myself. I can not deny what I have felt.

How I live my faith

Recently, I got married in the San Antonio LDS Temple. One thing we believe is we can be sealed for eternity in the House of the Lord (the Temple). I am now working with my husband to build a Christ-centered home for us and our future family. I'm living the teachings I have been taught throughout my life. I keep my speech clean and choose not to be part of parties where alcohol is the main focus of the event and to keep my dress modest. I live the way that God would have me live and try to be that example to my friends and those around me. I love serving those around me when the chance comes up and to have a Christ-like love for those around me. I'm working and continuing to work on the Christ-like attributes such as Faith, Hope, Charity and Love, Knowledge, Humility, Patience, Diligence, Virtue, and Obedience. I hope that those I share my life with can see these attributes I try to live, and I can continue to be an example to those around me.
