Hi I'm Kara

Simply, a music loving teenager. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm an average teenager. I stay up late, hang out with friends, love music, and stress over school. I enjoy soccer, volleyball and am a fan of the Seattle Seahawks. I like to compose music, play the piano, guitar, sing, and musical theater. I tend to take hours to plan outfits and talk about cute boys.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up LDS has it's stereotypes. You spend so long, your childhood, leaning on your parents testimony. There comes a time for everyone in these situations to discover for themselves what makes them the most happy. As I began to go down the wrong path I almost got stuck. Luckily, through trials, I was able to truly learn what makes me the happiest in life and that is the gospel of Jesus Christ, in it's restored state. I have been truly converted by the examples of so many others and the struggles I faced to gain my own testimony. My life is the best it's ever been and happiness is always present.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be an example to everyone. This includes serving at any possible moment. It could be telling a funny story to a sad friend, or taking time out on a Saturday to visit the local Nursing Home. It is said that actions speak louder than words. By living the standards I have for modest dress, clean language, sexual purity, honesty, sabbath day observance, gratitude and many others I believe I can let my light shine. Others will notice I'm different and a happier person because of this. Daily scripture reading and yearning to stay in tune with the spirit has allowed me to better recognize the Lord's tender mercies for his children that have been occuring since Adam took his first step.
